Elk Hair Caddis.

This pattern would be one of the last fly patterns to become internationally recognised before the advent of the Internet. Developed by Al Troth of Montana in the United States of America back in the early 1970s, it was first introduced into Australia by Bruce Whalen in the mid 70s and has become "a must" for every fly box. Again, there are many variations, mostly in body colour. A great concept and a great fly pattern.

Build Stages.

Hook: Kamasan B 405 ? Tiemco TMC 100
Hook size: 14 to 18

Hackle: Brown cock hackle.

Body: Possum fur & Antron dubbing blend.
