Mick Hall's Saltwater Fly Tying Methods:   Surf Candy.

The Surf Candy was the invention of Bob Popovics of America. Today there are many versions of this famous pattern. Being a typical baitfish imitation, it is universal in its use. Whether you finish off with either an epoxy or softer Silicon/Co-polymer covered body, is irrelevant.

The pattern is so effective that if it is chucked into a school of Salmon, Taylor or predator type species, it is like throwing a sausage to a pack of hounds. Once done, all you have to do is hang on.
