Mick & fly vise

Mick Hall's Fly Tying Masterclass 2 - Part 2 of double DVD set

Trout, particularly big trout, know what’s going on around them. Fishermen, particularly good fishermen, spend a long time learning about the behaviour and the environment of trout.

If you can combine your local knowledge with the ability to make a fly that really suits the water and the season, then you have a deadly advantage ...

This is the second part of Mick Hall’s highly regarded Fly Tying course. Building on the methods and skills learned in Masterclass 1, we move onto more complicated and involved patterns.

Mick’s easy going style and clear detailed instruction continues the series theme of showing the general principles behind the specific techniques of a number of popular flies.

Masterclass 2
features the following flies
Parachute Hackle Dun
Damsel Nymph
Royal Wulff
Woolly Bugger
Bullhead Hopper
Muddler Minnow
Plus bonus - Bead Bodies Nymphs

Animated fly building

A little more complicated then Masterclass 1 but, as in the first DVD, Mick takes you through the course step by step carefully explaining each stage and introducing new tools and materials.

Both of the courses feature an animated sequence of each fly before the actual building commences. This gives the viewer an idea of the assembly sequence and proportions of the fly to be contructed.
